Parenting Fail

V has been copying me a lot lately. A few days ago she saw me grab a kleenex and blow my nose. Several times since then she's grabbed a kleenex and blown her nose. .. even though she hasn't had a runny nose at all :) So cute.

Today she watched me put on eyeliner. She wanted to play with the eyeliner after I was done, so I put the cap on thinking it would be ok, forgetting she can remove most lids now. Within seconds she had it off and was trying to put it on herself! before I could take it away she got some on the bridge of her nose and one eyelid. Funny and adorable.

It all went wrong during her bath today, though. I go in the bath with her cause she's slipped in it too many times :( I went to wash that very same eyeliner off, using some of my soap, and she rubbed some of it on her fingers too. She motioned as if to jab me in the eye and I told her, "no, use it on yourself!" Before I realized what I'd said, she jabbed herself IN THE EYE with the soap :( Oh god. Horrible mommy moment. I frantically tried to splash water in her eye to wash it out but that freaked her out even more and I had to call my husband in to help calm her down.

Can't be a winner everyday! I still feel bad about it.
