At about 16 pounds and 30 inches, 16-year-old Brooke Greenberg has not aged significantly, physically or apparently cognitively, since she was a toddler. Doctors hope that her case could shed light on the mysterious genetics behind aging.

It's only beside her sister who eventually ages into a beautiful young woman that I can fully grasp how sad it must be for the young woman trapped inside the toddler's body.
In that last photo, her expression makes me think she is aware of what is happening. I think she is aging in her awareness of her surroundings and situation. The expression in her eyes is different in each photo.
What a sad situation.
Yes, it is very, very sad.
I agree that she doesn't look like a baby either. It is like she's aging but her size remains the same, and apparently her cognition but who really knows if she can't express herself that well(?)
