Runaway Stroller

As we were coming home from the doctor's office this morning, I saw a double stroller rolling free toward the very busy intersection of Front and Spadina. My mouth opened wide, let out a big gasp, and right before the stroller hit a car a judge came out of nowhere and grabbed it. Just in the nick of time! I knew he was a judge cause he was wearing long, black flowing robes and had on that strange little white tie they wear. Then I noticed that there were four other judges off to the side watching the whole escapade. The babies were dolls. Then I noticed the movie camera off to the other side.

I just about crossed the street to give them a piece of my mind before shrugging it off, summing it up to downtown living.

I would have seriously freaked out! It must be a B movie or something because I think if people were making a real movie, they would afford to shut down the street to avoid a call from CPS.

And as an aside, I totally understand you taking down the review blog, but personally I would have left it alone. Those people need to get a life and learn to take some criticism. Anyways, I understand your choice though...just wanting to get rid of the whole situation that wasn't meant to be a 'situation' to begin with!

Avoid a call from CPS, lol. Actually, there were movie trailers lining the street leading up to it, but I don't think they were for that particular scene :)

What is especially freaky is that a couple months ago, just one light away from that, I DID see a dead woman laying in the street. She walked into a delivery truck that was turning the corner. It was awful, I think of it everyday when I cross at that corner. They left her lying there for about an hour while they conducted the investigation. I felt so sorry for her, I cried on and off all evening. So to see that runaway stroller just a block away really got to me.

I remember that story on the news. So tragic. Gosh...the things you see in the city. I mean when hubby and I go to Toronto for even a day we see some crazy things, I couldn't imagine if we lived there! But I guess it's city life, you either love it or hate it...hubby loves the city..me...I'll stick to suburbia!
